CHRISTIAN TREASURES DAILY DEVOTIONS
Topic: You Need More Guidance
Anchor Scripture: Isaiah 42:16 - “I will lead the blind by a way they do not know; I will guide them in paths they have not known. I will turn darkness into light before them and make rough places smooth. These things I will do for them, and I will not leave them abandoned.” (KJV)
Welcome to another devotional hour. May you be blessed as you read in Jesus' name. Amen.
Sometimes, people communicate differently. I once saw a funny depiction showing women and men describing a situation. Women often describe it as a zigzag path, while men prefer a straight line.
We often wonder why our goals seem so far away. You might have prayed and done what you think God wants, yet nothing changes. This can happen for two reasons: you may not be asking God for guidance, or you might be resisting Him.
There’s a difference between guidance and direction. Direction is when you know your destination but not the way to get there; someone tells you how to find it. Guidance is when that person walks with you to the destination.
God is saying to you today, "Don't worry, I am the Almighty. I have a plan for you; just trust and follow Me." Many people fail to listen to Him or don’t realize He is trying to speak to them.
Think about the Israelites in the Bible. God led them with a pillar of fire at night and a cloud by day (Exodus 13:21-22) to keep them safe in the wilderness. When they faced problems, it was often because they moved away from God due to their sins.
Isaiah said, "Walk in the old paths and you will find rest," but the people refused (Jeremiah 6:16).
Good news: Let God guide you so you can find peace. You don’t need to understand everything; just let Him lead you.
BENEFITS OF HIS GUIDANCE:
1. It gives you peace from struggles.
2. He is always there to listen when you feel overwhelmed.
3. He helps you avoid distractions.
4. He boosts your confidence.
5. He carries your burdens for you.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
- Trust Him at all times.
- Remember, He is always there in trouble.
REFLECTION: Think about whether you are following His guidance, just asking for directions, or ignoring Him.
One important thing to note is that God can only guide those who are truly His children—those who are sincerely born again. If you’re not born again, pray this prayer with me:
“Lord Jesus, I come to You for mercy and forgiveness. Please make me a new person and help me be Yours. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.”
Congratulations!.
