Topic: The Blessings of Obedience

Anchor Scripture: Luke 11:28, GNT– “How blessed are those who hear and obey God's word.”

May you be blessed as you read this, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Renowned pastor Kenneth Hagin once told a story about a wealthy businessman who was also a Christian. This man rarely lost business deals, which was unusual. When asked how he achieved this, he explained that he had a special room in his house called the 'Upper Room' where he prayed about his business decisions.

He said, “When I have a business deal, I go to my Upper Room to pray. Over time, I have learned to recognize signs from God. It’s like a traffic light:

- A green light means I should go ahead with the deal.

- A yellow light tells me to wait and seek more guidance.

- A red light means I must cancel the deal immediately because it could lead to problems.”

This story teaches us a valuable lesson about obedience. God loves us and wants us to succeed in everything we do, as mentioned in today's scripture. He also promises in Isaiah 1:19, “If we are willing and obedient, we shall eat the good of the land.” This means that by following Him, we can find blessings and peace of mind. We should always ask for His help to avoid mistakes.

In Deuteronomy, God outlined blessings for those who obey Him (Deut. 28:1-14) and also warned about the consequences of disobedience.

Today's Lesson: Before committing to any plans, take the time to pray and ask God for guidance. Regardless of how attractive a deal may seem, spend time in your Upper Room to seek direction.

Reflection: Are you ready to trust the Lord and ask Him for advice on your next decision?

Prayers: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your guidance today. Thank You for the blessings that come from obedience. May all the glory be Yours, in Jesus' name. Amen.
