Topic: The Blessing of the Lord

Anchor Scripture: The blessing of the Lord maketh rich and added no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)

Welcome to today’s Daily Devotions, where we reflect on the blessings of the Lord. A dear child of God found himself in a job that robbed him of peace. Each night, he was too exhausted to pray, so he shared his story.

When I inquired about his role, he explained he was tasked with recovering loans, often required to be harsh with defaulters. This dissonance with the company’s policy weighed heavily on him, and despite his efforts, he felt compelled to beg for payments, which frustrated his team.

I shared my belief that God did not assign him that job. He questioned why, and I emphasized that if he had to confront those same individuals in the field of Evangelism, could he truly share the message of Jesus with them? He acknowledged he could not. With that realization, he resigned and earnestly sought God's guidance. Remarkably, days later, a company he had previously applied to reached out with an offer to start work.

The Lessons today:

God does not burden you with blessings.

If you faithfully serve Him, He will not lead you to a job or business that distances you from Him, for He is a jealous God.

Reflections: Are you in a job or business that weighs heavy on your heart? Pray and ask God to provide a new path.

In 2025, flee from anything that disrupts your peace. If you seek to travel but feel unrest, postpone it—timing is less important than your peace of mind.

As you embark on a new career or business venture, ensure that it brings you tranquility.

Counsel: Remember, only God's blessings yield true joy, happiness, and peace.
