Topic:THAT VALLEY IS NOT YOUR FINAL BUS STOP
Anchor Scripture: Ephesians 5:15 (NIV): “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise.”
Today is a blessed day, and we will rejoice in Jesus. Amen! Let’s find encouragement as we discover today’s treasure. Remember, “Grow through what you go through.” Your current struggles should not be your final destination.
Let’s learn from the story of an inspiring woman. She dreamed of starting a school for children from elementary to high school just a few years before her retirement. Knowing she couldn't run it alone, she hired qualified administrators while monitoring the school from home. She rented a property and planned for a permanent building.
However, she was soon transferred to another town, limiting her visits to weekends. This led to complaints from some parents, and despite her efforts to explain her commitment, many withdrew their children, citing her lack of qualifications and the school’s appearance compared to others.
At one point, she considered quitting her job to focus on school, but friends encouraged her to hold on until retirement. She decided to improve her qualifications by pursuing a postgraduate degree in children’s management. Despite ongoing criticism, she received approval to build a new school and eventually completed her postgraduate studies and applied for a doctoral program, all while many were unaware of her progress.
Fast forward to 2025: She retired at 60 and celebrated her achievements. By then, she had earned her Ph.D., and her once-mocked school had transformed into a beautiful facility, becoming a well-respected part of the neighborhood. All these happened within ten years of opening the school. Her critics were astonished. While they were criticizing her she was working on her limitations .
Life Lesson: Your valley shouldn’t be your last stop. When others criticize you, ignore them and focus on your growth. Instead of blaming circumstances, work on overcoming your challenges. It's your quiet period, work on how to get through, better, and be the best
Use your time in the valley for self-reflection and personal growth, whether in your career, marriage, business, education, or ministry. Remember, your valley is a time for growth, not sorrow. Your valley is the growing time, not the groaning period.
*Reflection: Take time to reflect on today’s treasure and the life lessons learned.
Prayers: Almighty God, thank you for your grace in our lives. We appreciate every situation because we trust you will guide us to a way out and deserve all the glory in Jesus' name.
