Four people joyfully jump on a beach at sunset, silhouetted by the golden sky and ocean waves. The scene conveys happiness and freedom.

LA BUENA VIDA (“THE GOOD LIFE”)

Anchor Scripture: "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." - John 10:10b (KJV)

The phrase "La Buena Vida" is Spanish for "The Good Life." The Spanish people are known for their rich culture, music, and friendliness, particularly towards foreigners. They place a high value on family and view society as an extension of that family.

In their culture, complaining is generally frowned upon, especially when there is no solution to the problem at hand. Instead, they prefer to enjoy the abundance life offers, such as food, music, family, and pleasant weather.

For some, the "good life" might include abundance in areas like liquor, relationships, money, beautiful homes, cars, and vacations in desired destinations.

However, what does God consider a good life? According to Jesus Christ, true richness does not guarantee happiness; friends and family can sometimes betray us. This is evident when celebrities and wealthy individuals, despite their riches, struggle with deep emotional pain, leading some to tragic ends.

As stated in Isaiah 55:1-2 (paraphrased), if you have no money, come and buy what you need—do not worry. Do not waste your resources on things that do not satisfy. The life found in Jesus Christ is fulfilling and satisfying; it represents the real "Good Life."

Our Assignment:

Give your life to Him today by wholeheartedly receiving Him into your life and discover the true "Good Life."

Prayer of Surrender:

Lord, I know I am a sinner. I come to you today and ask for your forgiveness. Please wash away my sins and make me a new person in Jesus' name. Amen.

Congratulations!
