CHRISTIAN TREASURE DEVOTION

I belong to the Dominion family, Not the crawlers Family.

Anchor Scripture: - “For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’”

Acts 17:28 Explained

INTRODUCTION: At creation, God gave us a mandate: to replenish, multiply, dominate, and be fruitful (Genesis 1:28). If anything seeks to stagnate us and prevent us from enjoying this heritage, we should not take it lightly. Let’s explore this further.

I once attended a healing and deliverance program at my church, which meets weekly like a spiritual hospital. A woman came forward with her five-year-old son, visibly excited. She placed the child down and stepped back. The child, appearing fearful, began to walk forward, step by step. She explained that her son had refused to walk on his own for a long time. In fact, he had crawled far longer than his peers. After visiting the hospital multiple times and undergoing numerous tests, they found that his muscles were firm and that there was nothing physically wrong, according to a physiotherapist. The doctor advised her to exercise patience.

For nearly two years, this boy had become a burden to her, and although other mothers suggested various tricks, nothing worked. Someone had invited her to this program, and during the prayers, the senior pastor made bold declarations. He declared, “You cannot be stagnant; you are created in His image. God made you to walk; you cannot be confined to a wheelchair. Rise up and walk.” Suddenly, the child, who had been sitting in a chair, began to try climbing down. To her amazement, he took his first few steps, albeit slowly.

By God's grace, in that same program, others who were in wheelchairs experienced miraculous healings. Praise God!

We live, move, and exist in Him (Acts 17:28). This is our anchor scripture for today. It reminds us that if we are made in God's image, we are in Him, and He is in us. Our existence and movement depend on Him, so we must fulfill the mandate given at creation. We are not meant to crawl like animals such as crocodiles, snakes, or lizards.

If anything is holding you back—whether it's sickness or a career that feels stagnant—you are not meant to remain in that state. It indicates that you are not fully living in Him anymore.

It's time to make a bold declaration: “My career cannot be stagnant when it's meant to thrive. My health cannot suffer when it should flourish. My marriage cannot be in disarray when it is meant to be peaceful.” Declare this now, as I do for myself.

You are God's heritage; you belong to Him. “You are gods; you are all children of the Most High.” (Psalm 82:6, NIV) Ephesians 5:17 (NIV) says, “Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.” We are in Him, and our heritage is to be precisely who He wants us to be in Christ. We have an inheritance in Him! This is why it’s crucial to know who you are in Christ and guard it zealously. We have the attributes of the Lion of Judah!

The Lion reigns in His territory:

  • Bold.

  • Marks its territory.

Roars occasionally—not out of a lack of prey, but to remind others in the jungle that He is still the King.

HOW DO I MAKE BOLD DECLARATION TO SITUATION AROUND MY LIFE.

Open Mouth: An open mouth signifies an open destiny, while a closed mouth seals your fate. Remember to start with your words; it’s written: “I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.” (Psalm 89:10, NIV). God will only fill a prepared mouth.

Be Violent in Spirit: Make bold declarations, standing firm on the Word. Send fire against any challenges trying to keep you from running.

Be Worded: Let the words of God be your companion so that the crawling spirit—who wants to turn your life into his stronghold—will see fire.

Don’t Negotiate: When you hesitate or stop before reaching a solution, you are negotiating with the devil.

Have Faith: The Devil will come with all sorts of distractions and arguments. Do not succumb; he is the old serpent who has not changed his ways. You are meant to crush his head with your heels. You cannot remain crawling, for you do not belong to his family. He is a serpent; he belongs to that family, and in fact, he is its head.

CONCLUSION: You are created to walk in dominion not in stagnation

What will matter in the end is your stance: you do not belong to the Crawlers' family; you belong to the Dominion family—a place where you walk, run, and take dominion.

PRAYER:

Dear Father, thank you for your words today. Thank you for your love and for creating me in your image to take dominion. Be glorified in Jesus' name. Amen.
