You Are More Valuable

Anchor Scripture:"For as much as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device." - Acts 17:29 (NKJV)

Recently, the Supreme Court of Colorado ruled on a case brought by a group advocating for the rights of animals. The group is called Non-animal Human Rights. As reported by Colleen Slevin of the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), the group argued that elephants born in the wild in Africa should not be kept in a zoo. They claimed that studies show these elephants suffer brain damage as a result of their captivity, likening it to incarceration. Instead, they recommended transferring the elephants to a sanctuary in the United States where they could live more freely.

While elephants may be majestic creatures, we must remember that we are far more valuable than animals, no matter how beautiful or social they may be. We are created in the image and likeness of God. We have been blessed with cognitive skills, strength, dexterity, problem-solving abilities in difficult situations, and creativity. Regardless of your life's circumstances, you are invaluable because you have the power to make choices.

Not only are we remarkable, but we are also beautifully and wonderfully made to reflect His glory. Whatever task you undertake, do it well. Do not feel overwhelmed by the different styles of others; remember that you are unique in your own way.
