Topic: Wisdom For Profitable Living(2)

Anchor Scripture::” Wisdom is the

principal thing; therefore get wisdom: And with all thy getting understanding. Proverbs 4:7 KJV

The Incident

On that particular day, a teenage girl was rushed into the hospital unconscious. Despite the doctors' efforts, the girl was certified dead.

One of the cleaners on duty approached the grieving mother and asked whether they wanted to keep the body in the morgue or retrieve a coffin from the nearby shop. This abrupt approach angered the girl's father, who confronted the cleaner, leading to an uproar. Patients and their relatives expressed their outrage towards the hospital staff.

In a misguided attempt to express their grief, some individuals even assaulted the coffin makers, accusing them of using black magic. The situation escalated until security personnel intervened to restore calm.

The Lesson

The Bible teaches us that "Wisdom is profitable for directions, instruction, and reproof." In Ecclesiastes 10:10, it states that every ruler needs wisdom to succeed. Proverbs 2 outlines various benefits of wisdom, highlighting its necessity in daily life.

Benefits of Wisdom:

Insight

Knowledge

Directions

Gives Life

Counsel: Wisdom is needed in our everyday life. As noted, from our Anchor Scripture, it's not enough knowing what to do; knowing how to do it is important. For instance,

When asking God for directions or clarity on a particular thing, you are asking God to show you the way, it's not bad. But better understanding requires one to ask God for guidance because Guidance means saying to God, please, Lord, take me by your hand and lead me. Now, that is wisdom and understanding that God is involved with you as you take each step.

Conclusion

Wisdom and money can acquire almost anything, but only wisdom can truly save your life (Ecclesiastes 7:12).
