Topic: Be a Generational Commander

Anchor Scripture: 1 Chronicles 12:32**

"From Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do—200 chiefs, with all their relatives under their command."

Today is a good day in Jesus' name. Amen. I want to remind us that every child of God is a generational commander because of what is inside them. You are a commander! Many of us wait for God to show us something new when He may instead show us a new way to do things.

THE STORY OF MOSES

Moses ran away after he killed an Egyptian who was oppressing an Israelite. He went to Midian, married Jethro's daughter, and spent forty years tending flocks for his father-in-law. He didn’t realize that the ordinary staff he carried was a key to deliverance. When he encountered God in the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-12), God revealed the true purpose of that staff (Exodus 4:2-4). Today, I pray that God will show you something new in Jesus' name. Amen.

How to Be Commanders in Our Generation

Let’s look at our anchor scripture again. There was a time in Israel when people were confused about what to do. King Saul had just died, and David, chosen by God, was still in hiding. The people knew they needed a new king to lead them.

Amid this confusion, the tribe of Issachar stood out. They were wise men and numbered 200, and they weren’t involved in politics. They knew how to handle the situation.

While everyone else complained about the problems in Israel, the children of Issachar were commanders. Have you thought about your potential? Have you prayed and gained skills that can help you become someone people look to for guidance?

If you don’t value what you have, God cannot value you. Only you can see your worth. Ask God to show you new ways to use your gifts. Like Moses, aim to discover your potential and turn it into something impactful.

Distractions will come, and some might say you are wasting your time. The question is, do you have what people want? When you have something valuable, you will be recognized today.

Use the Tools for This Age

Every era has ways to succeed. We have seen different times: the Agricultural Era in the 1800s, the Computer Era in the 90s, and now the Social Media Era. Use social media to get noticed. Whatever your talent is, use social media to help others see it.

If no one sees you, no one will know your abilities. Social media is for everyone, not just young people. Share what you enjoy; even posting pictures of beautiful places can engage others.

In addition to having fun, you may make new friends and inspire people with your content. As you gain followers, you could even earn money through your passion—whether it’s showcasing beautiful landscapes or any skill you have, you can become a generational commander.

Reflection

Take time to think about today’s devotion. Pray and ask God to make you someone who stands out. Are you convinced you can be a generational wonder?

Prayers

Lord, thank You for Your words to us today. Thank You for the plans You have for us and the potential within us. To You be all the glory, in Jesus' name. Amen.
