THE PEN IS NOT IN THE ENEMY'S HAND. WHY YOUR STORY IS ALREADY WRITTEN.
Scriptural Reference: Jeremiah 29:11 NIV: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
When I was in Fifth Form, I wrote a story; I can't remember the title or what the story was about, but I do remember that the main character died. After writing it, I showed it to my classmate, who sat next to me. We shared the same table, even though we had different lockers.
My classmate questioned why the main character had to die and insisted that I should rewrite my story. I explained that this was how I wanted it to be; it was my intention for the hero to die. Obviously, my explanation did not sit well with him, and he was unhappy with my decision. This all happened during our long break period.
When the closing bell rang, he asked me again whether I would change that line. I was surprised by his insistence and replied with a firm “No.” I wondered why he was taking it so seriously. The next morning, I greeted him, but he refused to respond, which was unlike him. I immediately realized it was because of his insistence on changing my story. I marveled at his reaction even back then, and I still think about it from time to time.
What our Scriptural Reference is saying today is that God has a beautiful storyline for you and me. He will ensure that the devil does not rewrite your story. However, you must make sure you are not rebellious to Him, as God will not force you to obey. You are a product of choice; God made it so that you have choices in life. This is why you are different from animals and even angels. God is not partial to anyone; He wants all His children to enjoy a full life, which can only be found in Christ Jesus.
God has given you and me dominion, and in exercising that dominion, we are following the original blueprint of our life story as written by God, regardless of the temptations we face.
DOES GOD HAVE A PLAN FOR US?
Yes, he certainly does. His plan is outlined in His will for us, as written in Genesis 1:28, Ephesians 1:9, and Ephesians 1:11. His purpose is to bring Him praise.
GOD SOVEREIGNTY OVER US
Means that He is the only one whose plans for us are unquestionable. He is our Maker, and He does as He wills. This is illustrated in Jeremiah 18, where God instructed the prophet to go to the potter's house. There, he observed the potter forming vessels. If the potter was dissatisfied with a vessel, he would collapse the clay and start anew. God then asked the prophet if He was not justified in doing as He pleased with the rebellious house of Israel.
WHAT IS GOD BLUE PRINT FOR HIS CHILDREN .?
The blueprint of God reflects His divine purpose for our lives and His plans for us. It can be likened to the details of how He wants us to live a full life according to His agenda on Earth. Acts 3:15 refers to God as the "originator" or "Author of life," indicating that He wrote our life history even before we were conceived. In Jeremiah 1:5, God tells Jeremiah that even before he was conceived, God had already known he would be a prophet and had prepared him for his work. So, what is all the fuss about? Since God was guiding him.
WHAT ARE LIFE LESSONS IN TODAY'S DEVOTION.
Whatever assignment God has given any of His children reflects the plan He has for them. He is the Master Planner and the Master Storyteller.
Do not allow life's circumstances to rewrite your story so that you can fulfill God's plan for your life. No matter how life has unfolded, God has your best interests at heart. His plan is for you to fulfill your destiny to the praise of His holy name.
God is sovereign over our lives; He can write our life stories however He chooses, just as I wrote mine and shared it with my classmate.
PRAYERS.: Lord, thank You for the plans You have for my life. Thank you because I know that the story of my life is beautiful. Thank You also for not allowing the devil to rewrite my story. In Jesus' name, amen.
