Topic: THE LATE STARTER.**
Anchor Scripture: Daniel 2:21, NLV.” He changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.”
A gardener planted many flower seeds one spring morning, including one small “PEONY.”
As days passed, other plants began to bloom, captivating the attention of passersby and the gardener alike. The Dahlias, Roses, and Sunflowers showcased their vibrant colors, while the peony remained just a patch of green, seemingly devoid of life.
"Why haven't you bloomed?" asked the Sunflower. ?
"Are you even Alive" jeered the Poppy Flower at the peony.
But the peony said nothing, quietly growing and gaining strength beneath the soil.
With time, the early bloomers began to fade, shedding leaf by leaf. Then one morning, the peony stirred, slowly opening her petals—soft, strong, strikingly beautiful, and vibrant.
Passersby stopped to admire her stunning colors and offered praise. She was truly a sight to behold!
The gardener knelt beside her and smiled, saying, "Just on time."
OUR LESSON TODAY:
The peony realized she was never late; she was preparing for a bloom that would be cherished long after others had faded.
REFLECTION:
Some of us are not late; we are simply blooming at the right time. Delays may be meant to prepare you for greater glory ahead.
Do you sometimes feel as though you’ve been left behind by friends and peers? You may just be a late starter like the peony, destined to catch the attention of kings and queens after others’ glory has worn off.
Thank God for the gift of life. “A living dog is better than a dead lion.” Ecclesiastes 9:4 ..Say this prayer now
PRAYERS:
Almighty God, thank you for the gift of life. Help me to become what you want me to be in life, in Jesus' name, amen.
