Anchor Scripture:
*"When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require from thy hands.”* — Ezekiel 33 KJV.
A CHRISTIAN BROTHER STORY
One evening, a brother shared a poignant story that weighed heavily on his heart. He recounted how he lived next door to a young woman who was the epitome of vivacity—social, warm, and utterly lively. Their brief encounters on the stairs had become a familiar routine; she would often be slipping out as the brother was returning from a long day at work. Each time their paths crossed, they exchanged cheerful smiles and friendly pleasantries, creating an unspoken bond between them.
Yet, amidst the lighthearted exchanges, a persistent nudge lingered in his mind. He felt a powerful urge to share the message of Christ with her—a calling that seemed to grow stronger with every meeting. However, each time he brushed this off, convinced that the moment wasn’t right or that there would be another opportunity down the line.
Then, fate took an unexpected turn. The brother was sent on an official assignment that would keep him away for two weeks. One night during this trip, he had a chilling dream. He found himself once again on the staircase, but this time, the vibrant young woman was nowhere to be seen. Instead, she stood before him, wearing an expression of deep sorrow that struck him to his core. Concern etched across his face, he asked her what was troubling her.
With eyes filled with sadness, she turned to him and uttered words that would haunt him: “Why didn’t you tell me about your Jesus? Every time we met, I was waiting to hear from you. It’s because of your silence that I’m on my way to hell."
Before he could respond, she turned away, walking off into the shadows, leaving him bewildered and terrified. He woke up in a cold sweat, unsure of what had just transpired. The dream lingered in his thoughts, stirring an unsettling fear within him.
Determined to find out more, he reached out to another neighbor, his heart pounding with concern. What he learned left him utterly shattered: the vibrant young woman he had dreamed about had tragically lost her life that very morning in a horrific accident as she and her friends were returning home from a nightclub. None of them survived; the fates of those young lives cut short lingered in the air, heavy with unspoken words and missed opportunities.
What Is the Commission?
The term 'commission' signifies an instruction, authorization, or assignment to undertake a specific task. Every authentic Christian has been granted a divine commission—a responsibility to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. This call is not exclusive to pastors or church leaders; it extends to every believer. Witnessing can take many forms beyond just verbal communication (Evangelism).
LESSON:
If you find a heart that yearns to hear the Good News, do not hesitate. As the Holy Spirit guides you, seize the moment—whether through words, actions, or your very lifestyle—to reach out and help others find their way to Him, thereby contributing to the depopulation of Hell.
SIMPLE WAYS TO EVANGELIZE
Lifestyle:Your day-to-day actions hold the power to influence others profoundly. By living out your faith authentically, you can inspire someone to seek the Lord.
Through Love:Show love through thoughtful deeds and peaceful interactions. Remember, loving someone doesn’t mean compromising your values or wisdom.
Social Media: Use your social platforms as a tool for good! Share uplifting messages and scripture-inspired content that glorifies God, touching the hearts of those in your network.
Charitable Works:Engage in charitable activities and volunteer at orphanages or local shelters, especially on meaningful occasions in your life. Your kindness can leave a lasting impact.
Share Tracts: Every church produces literature designed for outreach. Visit your church’s Evangelical office, collect tracts, and distribute them to spread the message of hope and salvation.
BENEFITS:
You cannot promote the glory of God and remain in obscurity; your efforts will bear fruit. Moreover, serving Him assures divine provision; those who labor for the Kingdom will never lack.
PRAYERS:
Heavenly Father, grant us the love and courage to share Your Word effectively and compassionately. In Jesus' name, Amen.
