TOPIC: SLOTHFULNESS

Anchor Scripture:“I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding.” - Proverbs 24:30 (NKJV)

“A little sleep, a little folding of the hands to rest; So shall your poverty come like a prowler.” - Proverbs 24:33-34 (KJV)

"Slothfulness" comes from the animal called the "sloth." This animal is very lazy, sleeping for 15 to 20 hours a day and sometimes even growing algae on its fur.

The Bible warns us not to be like the sloth. We should work hard if we want to reach our goals and be happy. Proverbs 6:6 tells us to learn from ants, which gather food without anyone telling them to. It’s important to plan because things can change unexpectedly.

Our Almighty Father worked to create everything we see, and He wants us to take action in our own lives.

ASSIGNMENT: Think about areas in your life where you need to be more active and make changes.

COUNSEL: You can’t succeed if you stay lazy. Those who make a difference in the world do not waste time.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, help us understand our lives better and give us the strength to be more active. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
