Anchor Scripture: Psalm 106:15 KJV: "And he gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul."

Reflecting on yesterday's story about the individual who applied for a job multiple times yet faced rejection despite meeting all qualifications, it's crucial to seek God during such moments. When adversity strikes, we should ask, "Lord, why am I being turned away despite fulfilling all criteria?" In doing so, God can reveal deeper insights into our situation.

God sees the bigger picture; He may have orchestrated those rejections to protect her from future disappointments or dangers that were not visible at the time. Consider the Israelites who, upon their constant complaints in the wilderness, received what they desired, yet faced dire consequences as a result.

UNDERSTANDING LEANNESS OF SOUL:

- A sense of spiritual emptiness, leading to a disconnection from God.

- Making decisions based solely on personal understanding, rather than seeking divine guidance.

LESSON:It is vital to discern between our wants and needs. Often, when we bring our requests to God, He redirects what we seek; some desires could divert our focus away from Him or lead us astray. Our souls are precious to Him, and He genuinely desires none of us to perish.

OUR REFLECTION:Let’s take an honest assessment of our lives and allow God to lead us. His guidance illuminates our path, holding us by the hand toward our destination. Trusting in His direction is paramount.

PRAYERS:Dear Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for moments of doubt. Grant us the grace to trust in Your wisdom and guidance as we fully depend on You from this day forward, in Jesus' name, amen.
