Topic: KINGDOM PROMOTERS

Anchor Scripture: 📖 Matthew 5:14 KJV: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Until about three hundred years ago, potatoes were largely overlooked and viewed as food for pigs and the very poor.

However, one man, Antoine-Augustin Parmentier, recognized the incredible nutritional benefits of potatoes and set out to promote them. How did he do it?

He made them seem precious and desirable. He built a farm full of potatoes and placed armed guards over it during the day, only to remove the guards at night. This piqued people’s curiosity about the special potatoes being so jealously protected, prompting them to steal and prepare them. As people discovered their sweet and delicious taste, the value of potatoes began to shine through.

This is the power of a branding campaign. Even today, major drink brands promote their products to remain relevant. Promotion changes perceptions and sparks curiosity, inviting people to explore what makes something unique.

Our scripture reminds us that we are the light of God, shining brightly in a dark world. As we illuminate our surroundings, people become eager to discover what sets us apart.

CHANGING OUR WORLD

Only one man changed the narrative. You and I have the ability to transform perceptions about Christianity.

I have heard stories of individuals vowing never to return to church due to negative experiences with trusted believers or pastors.

REFLECTION: Let us rise as kingdom promoters, shining God’s light and changing the dark narratives that unbelievers hold about Christianity. The Lord will empower us in Jesus' name, amen.

PRAYER: Our Father in heaven, grant us the grace to embody Your will today, in Jesus' name, amen.
