*A HEARTFELT EXAMPLE OF SELFLESSNESS*
We reflect today on the remarkable life of James Harrison, a truly compassionate individual who touched countless lives with his generosity. Known as the man with the “Golden Arms,” Harrison passed away in a nursing home in New South Wales, Australia, on February 17th, 2025.
Throughout his life, he made an extraordinary impact by donating blood plasma over a thousand times, saving more than two million babies with his life-saving antibody, Anti D, which helps protect unborn children from hemolytic disease.
His daughter, Tracy Mellowship, shared his beautiful philosophy of life: “It doesn’t hurt to save, and the baby you save could be yours.” James Harrison's unwavering commitment to helping others is a powerful reminder of the profound difference a single person can make. His life was a shining example of a noble cause—one dedicated to the well-being of others.
**OUR MASTER EXAMPLE**
As we turn our hearts and minds to Jesus, who exemplified the ultimate act of love and sacrifice, we see that He came to seek and save the lost. He devoted His life to a purpose larger than Himself, reminding us of the importance of living for others. In a world that can often feel overwhelming,
it’s easy to lose sight of why we’re here. If our lives become merely a cycle of working, eating, and retreating from the world each night, we may find ourselves feeling empty and unfulfilled. True joy and contentment come not from riches or possessions, but from embracing a cause that brings light and love to those around us.
**OUR ASSIGNMENTS**:
Let’s take a moment to reflect on our own lives and consider what we stand for. What cause will we choose to dedicate ourselves to today?
**PRAYERS:**
Dear God, we humbly ask for your forgiveness for often becoming too absorbed in our own desires, overlooking the needs of others.
Help us to discover a worthy cause that can uplift our communities and foster hope in the world.
Grant us the strength and courage to take the first steps toward making a difference, in Jesus’s name, amen.
