A historic church in Sweden, built 113 years ago, has been moved to a new location after two days of transport. The large red wooden church weighs 672 tonnes and was relocated using a special trolley with 224 wheels. It was placed on custom trailers and moved at a maximum speed of 500 meters per hour over a distance of 5 kilometers (3 miles).

The move was necessary because of ground sinking. The church is one of several buildings being relocated in Kiruna, a city 145 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. The journey began with a blessing from the church's vicar, Lena Tjärnberg, and Bishop Åsa Nyström from the Diocese of Luleå.

Although the church moved only 30 meters in the first hour, many people gathered to watch this historic event. "There's a huge turnout. People came from Kiruna and other areas of Sweden. I heard many languages being spoken," said culture strategist Sofia Lagerlöf Mättää. "It's like we are witnessing history.”
