Topic: HELP FROM UNLIKELY SOURCES
Anchor Scripture: Psalm 46:1 NIV: "God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble."**
Welcome to today's devotion! I hope your hearts are filled with joy and blessings in Jesus' name, amen!
In many Native American cultures, the raven is seen as a tricky bird. Interestingly, a group of ravens is called an "UNKINDNESS." But even from unexpected sources, we can find blessings!
God chose ravens to help the prophet Elijah when he needed food in the wilderness (1 Kings 17:2-16). They brought him meals every day while he sat by a brook!
Similarly, Noah sent a raven to find dry land after the flood. When it didn’t come back, he knew it was a sign they had found safety. This shows how God can use unlikely helpers to achieve His plans!
TODAY'S LESSONS:
* Help can come from surprising places. Just like God used three lepers to end a famine (2 Kings 6:24-33), keep your heart open to unexpected sources of help.
* Think of Naaman, who was healed in the simple muddy waters of Jordan. He learned that sometimes God’s ways are straightforward, yet powerful.
Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God can do more than we can imagine! As we move through 2025, stay alert! Help may come from someone you least expect—a stranger, a child, or even someone who doesn’t believe.
Let’s avoid pride and be open to seeking advice or showing kindness. Every interaction could be a special moment!
*PRAYER: Dear Lord, we thank you for your support. Help us to rely on you for strength and to appreciate the blessings you give, no matter how they appear. In Jesus' name, amen.
