Topic: He Wants Your Crown
Anchor Scripture: 2nd Corinthians 11:14 KJV
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
Every time I encounter those outdated images of Satan with horns and a menacing grin, I can't help but smile! It's intriguing how many people perceive him as frightening and grotesque. These depictions have influenced the minds of countless individuals—particularly children—leading them to believe he is just a terrifying figure. However, let’s take a moment to embrace the truth and illuminate the real nature of Satan!
BEAUTY:
In Isaiah 14:12, Satan was originally known as Lucifer, which means "Bearer of Light" or "Morning Star." Isn’t that remarkable? The Bible reveals in Ezekiel 28:12-14 that he was created with astonishing beauty, adorned with precious stones—gold, diamonds, beryl, onyx, jasper, sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle. Just imagine the brilliance of all those gems combined!
But that’s not all! He was designed with musical instruments, meaning that as he walked in heaven, he filled the air with glorious melodies that brought joy! ( Ezekiel 28)
POSITION:
Lucifer held the esteemed title of Archangel, standing above the other archangels. He was anointed and resided upon the mountain of God, complete with a throne and the seal of perfection. Truly awe-inspiring!
NATURE:
Yet, despite all these glory and position, he chose to rebel against his maker instead of being content himself as an angel of light.
HOW HE FELL:
His heart swelled with pride. In Isaiah 14:12, we see his ambitious declaration: "I will ascend into the heavens, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit on the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north. I will be like the Most High."
THE CROWN
When Lucifer fell, God reclaimed the crown of honor and glory that He had given him and placed it on YOUR head! Isn’t that incredible? Satan is enraged, feeling insulted that a being made from dust now wears the crown that was meant for him. But here’s the beautiful truth: God has transferred His glory to us, breathing life into us!
So, beloved, whenever you encounter tough times and wonder, “Why is this happening to me?” remember that the enemy is envious of your crown—the magnificent glory of God shining through your life! Your crown represents the splendor of God radiating through you to the world.
Reflection:
Embrace the truth that you wear a crown of glory, and let that confidence guide you through any challenges you face..
Counsel:Brethren, the moments we start complaining and comparing ourselves to how God is supposed to have made us, which colors and heights are removing magnificence from us. However you may look, don't despise yourself. Instead, even your height, color, and size were all given to you to the glory of God.
