Topic HE CONTROLS TIME AND SEASON

Anchor Scripture: Ecclesiastes Chapter 3

Today is a wonderful day, and we will rejoice in it. Welcome to today's devotion, where we learn that God is in control of time and seasons. In life's challenges, many believers think that delays are caused by the enemy. But not every delay is bad; some are part of God's plan.

In one of his sermons, the Senior Pastor (Dunamis International Gospel Center), Dr. Paul Enenche shared how God brought him and his wife together. He detailed how their meeting was arranged by God, although they initially thought it was a coincidence.

After high school, Dr. Enenche took the university entrance exam with his classmates. He scored well but was not accepted into his first-choice program, medicine. Instead, he was placed in a different course he hadn’t applied for, which delayed his university journey by almost two years. During this time, he focused on growing spiritually.

When he finally got into the medical program, he met Sister Becky. He saw her love for God, and they both joined the same fellowship. He said, “I was the National President of the Christian Medical Students, yet I made time for God.” At first, he didn't think he would date her, as he was interested in someone else. However, through God’s guidance, he found his true partner.

Today, he is thankful he did not miss out on his ordained wife.” Maybe if I had gotten the university admission immediately after Highschool maybe I would have missed her”, he said.” We have been happily married for over thirty years and have resolved any conflicts between us, if there are any, without involving others”

Their marriage inspires many couples.

Believers should remember that delays aren’t always setbacks; sometimes, they are part of God's perfect plan for us. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “I know the plans I have for you, plans for your future.” Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us that there is a right time for everything—be it planting, uprooting, celebrating, or mourning.

Our Lessons Today:

- God controls time and seasons.

- We should trust Him and accept His guidance. If things don’t change despite our prayers, we can rely on His plan.

- As believers, we must accept different seasons in life with confidence.

Reference: Let’s remember that God’s timing and purposes are wiser than our own.

Prayers: Almighty God, thank You for Your love and the messages You’ve shared today. We appreciate that you've the final say in our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.
