The story is told of a tigress in a California zoo who went into postpartum depression after losing all her cubs. According to reports, the tigress lost interest in everything around her. She wouldn’t play, lost her appetite, and exhibited all the signs of postpartum depression.

Postpartum depression, simply put, is a sense of emptiness and loneliness that new mothers sometimes feel after childbirth. It is a combination of hormonal changes and the psychological adjustments that come with motherhood. Some mothers, especially new ones, can be overwhelmed by the changes in their bodies. Others may suffer from postpartum depression due to unsupportive partners or the demands of caring for a newborn.

To alleviate the tigress’s suffering, the zoo management decided to intervene. They obtained some piglets, dressed them as cubs, and presented them to the tigress. Remarkably, this act worked! The tigress began to care for the piglets as if they were her own.

The lesson here is that if the management of the zoo can provide a solution to alleviate the suffering of an animal, our Father in Heaven can do much more for us. Matthew 10:30 states, "Even the hairs of your head are all numbered," indicating that He knows everything you may be experiencing. He is always ready to bring solutions if you allow Him.

In Jeremiah 1:5, He tells us that before He created us, He already knew what we would become.

1 Peter 5:7 reassures us to "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." Instead of carrying your worries alone, share your fears with Him. He understands.

**How to Cast Your Cares on Him**

1. Ask for forgiveness for your sins.

2. Remind Him of His promises in the Scriptures.

3. Present your reasons for why He should not forget you, as Isaiah 43:26 suggests you produce your case.

4. Thank Him repeatedly for His goodness.

***Congratulations!
