Today is beautiful; let's be happy in Jesus' name. “
One of the biggest problems we face is not living out God's purpose for us. This happens because we often don’t take the time to learn from our surroundings. We are usually too busy to pay attention. However, if we do, we can gain wisdom to solve tough problems. The whole creation speaks to us.
The Bible asks us to observe how animals behave. In Proverbs 30:25, we learn about ants. They look for food at the right times and adapt to their environment without needing leaders. Their behavior is worth studying.
A preacher once said that if we calm down and pay attention to our environment, we will notice that everything around us can teach us, especially nature. Nature shares wisdom with us. This is why people who practice meditation or yoga often gain insights during quiet moments. We can also learn from animals.
Learning from Animal Relationships
Male pups have a special way of attracting female pups. We can learn from their behavior to build strong relationships with others. If we are too proud or selfish, we might struggle to connect peacefully with people. Refusing to apologize for our mistakes will also hurt our relationships.
Male pups play-fight with female pups and let them win sometimes to create a bond. This shows wisdom, and we can learn valuable lessons from these interactions.
Recently, I was at a park to read and relax. I saw two women with their toddlers arguing. One woman yelled at her son and threw a toy away. The other woman pulled her son away from the action, trying to get the toy back.
Despite their arguing, I noticed that the children started to play together again. This taught me an important lesson: “Don't hold onto anger for too long.” Anger isn’t good for our health. One of the women later left the park angrily with her son, but I still learned from how the children behaved.
We should also learn from children. Jesus said that the kingdom of God belongs to those who are humble like little children (Luke 18:16). Our Anchor Scripture, tells us the craftsmanship of God, his showing us his splendor, the galaxies in the heavens are what we should always pay attention to. What are they telling us, God is mighty, look at the awesomeness of the Almighty and learn about mightness
Today, we learned that we should observe our surroundings. They carry important messages. God speaks to us in many ways. As David said, “God spoke once, but twice I heard” (Psalm 62:11). This shows the power of listening and reflecting on our environment.
Reflection: Take a moment to listen to what is around you. Notice what you see, hear, or feel. It all matters.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for today’s words. Thank you for always speaking to us. Help us to hear your voice and learn in Jesus' name. Amen.
