Anchor Scripture

“For if you want to save your life, you will lose it, but if you lose your life for my sake, you will find it” Mathew 16:25).

This is a humorous story of a man who was in the church on a Sunday service and gave his life to Christ. The following day, some armed robbers came to his house. “Bring all your money”, they started shouting at him. The man replied to them, "I don't have any money".

The leader of the robbers replied to the man angrily and said '"Maybe you thought we came here to play " he then pointed his gun at the man and said your money or your life?

The man looked at all of them and said, "I don't even have that life anymore." What do you mean? The robbers chorused.

The man smiled and said," Because I gave it to Jesus Christ yesterday". Very Funny.

As soon as you are a born-again Christian, your life no longer belongs to you.

WHAT HAPPENS AS SOON AS YOU GIVE HIM YOUR LIFE

This means you no longer have your "will" with you. It also means God's"will is now yours.

It means you don't just start a career or business because it's what is in vogue; you go to the lord in prayers and ask him first.

This also means You have to surrender your life totally to God. for guidance

It means you don't marry someone because he/ she is beautiful, handsome and very rich at that time. Because he may be rich today and be poor tomorrow, and he may be good to look at today and suffer bodily injury tomorrow, and all the beauty fades away.

God has a purpose for everyone and everything he created. And his desire for us is to fulfill our purpose on earth. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "I know the plans I have for you, to give you hope, to give you the best future, the best end." And Jeremiah 1:5 also says, before he created you, he already knew you and planned for you good things. But you need to follow him patiently and let him make all his decisions concerning you.

It means you need to trust God that he will make good decisions for you.

His wills are not always palatable at the beginning, but if you hold on enough, you will reap the benefits.

It could be you have to leave a certain group of friends, leave certain bad habits, or even leave certain jobs.

He has your manual in his hands because he made you. Let him have your life today, and you won't have to stress yourself in finding it.

Finding your life means you find the purpose for which you are created for: give him a chance to nurture you; he wants you to live a purposeful life.

REFLECTION: Are we living according to his purpose, let's take a deep assessment of ourselves today.

PRAYERS: Lord, please give us the will to surrender our lives to you. So that so we can live in your purpose today in Jesus' name, amen.
