*Anchor Scripture:*

“The LORD has gifted Bezalel, Ohiliab, and the other skilled craftsmen with wisdom and ability to perform any task involved in building the sanctuary; let them construct and build the Tabernacle just as the LORD has commanded.” (Exodus 36:1-2)

Welcome to another beautiful day. Be Richly blessed in Jesus' name, amen.

Some time ago, I read a hilarious story about a loan app defaulter who painted his dog to look like a tiger in an attempt to scare away loan recovery officers. Although the story didn't provide many details, it mentioned, "The policemen were looking for a certain Samuel who scared away the loan recovery officers" in southeastern Nigeria.

I found myself trying to wrap my head around the whole situation. I imagined the officers must have seen what they believed was a "tiger" and fled without verifying the truth. It's hard to blame them!

After all, only God knows what Samuel must have endured at the hands of loan app companies. They often treat defaulters harshly, subjecting them to humiliation by calling them out on social media and tagging them with all sorts of names.

There have even been reports of individuals who took their own lives due to the shame of defaulting on loans.

Today, our focus is on using our ingenuity for good. Ingenuity is the ability to be clever, original, and resourceful. An evil genius, on the other hand, is someone who uses their mental abilities for negative purposes. I believe that Samuel could have used his creativity to generate income, especially in this social media era. Often, it's not a lack of money that holds us back; it's simply the lack of an idea to start something.

OUR LESSONS TODAY

Matthew 25:15 speaks about using your talents wisely. All good gifts come from God, and according to scripture, everyone will give an account of how they have deployed their talents.

Moreover, God has given each of us certain abilities. Those abilities are our gifts or talents, and we are to use them for God's glory.

*REFLECTION:

Let’s engage in deeper self-analysis. Are we using our wisdom for the betterment of humanity and God, or are we using it to cause harm?

I’ve often thought that the wisdom employed by scammers to deceive others, along with the time they waste scheming, could instead be directed towards endeavors that yield positive results if only they would choose to use that wisdom for good.

PRAYERS:

May we receive the grace to use our talents for the glory of God, in Jesus' name, amen.
