Topic: DON'T SHIFT GROUND

Anchor Scripture: Zachariah 4:7 NIV. “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”

I once had a neighbor whose son was very troublesome. The boy was just 10 years as at the time family and I moved into the building. He was big for his age in size, you wouldn't know he was just about that age. As at the time, we moved there. Almost all children in the neighborhood avoid confrontation with him.

So one weekend, a family came to visit another family in the neighborhood. One of the children of the visiting family was playing volleyball gane with other children in the park, of course, it wasn't their first of time coming, so they have friends there, and also knew this trouble some boy, I learnt .The boy on the visit scored against the team of the bully, subsequently, his team Lost.

The bully, walked up to the boy, and slap him on his face, telling him ,” for making my team and l lose the game, this is for you”. The other children looked on with astonishment.But the other boy, who I learnt was the same age with him rushed to him and returned the slap, and at the same time telling him he was not scared of him.

While the rest of the children were telling him,to leave the bully fearing for him. The next moment, the bully was on the ground crying, while the visitor used punches upon punches on him. While the other children cheered on the winner. Before some adults came and separate them. The aftermath, the bully was too ashamed to come out for a long time and play with his friends. Because of shame, and none of the other children became afraid of him again.

At times, you just have to face the devil, when he comes with numerous challenges. The devil is a bully, a coward. He instill fear in you to make you submit to him not to God for that is his strategy, for you to disobey God.

In our anchor Scripture today: Zeubbabel told his mountain ( challenges) that it will become a level ground .we do not know, What kind of challenge he had, but he declared to that problem, that he was not afraid of it. The blessing of God, . favour will make your mountain to be nothing .. This is how to deal with the devil, when you can no longer tolerate his excessive.

Let me tell you, you cannot cajole the devil, he will only leave you for a season and come back. Even in the book of Luke 4:13 , he left Jesus for a season and came back.

When the devil tells you, You can't reach a certain level, or you can not be heal when doctors have done all they could do, Jesus our Lord is a great physician., Or how many people have achieve the things you are finding difficult to do. Tell him, remind him of what zerubbabel said in our anchor Scripture.

A man once shared a testimony, he used seven years for his PHD. His supervisor was not cooperating, frustrated, he changed supervisor, the new one was even worse despite all his efforts.He was already considering abandoning it, when God made him to understand that the devil didn't want him to because no one ever reach that line in his family.

WHAT WE LEARND TODAY:

The Devil is a bully, don't give up

You can't Cajole him, be prepare to fight and take what belongs to you.

Don't be afraid of him, if you don't give up, he will eventually submit to you

Don't give up, don't give in and don't give out .

Only the Strong fulfil destiny , not the feeble

REFLECTION: Prayerfully go through today’s message and check any areas of your life, where there are challenges and renew your strength with the words of God and his promises.

PRAYERS: We receive strength to face the challenges in our lives today and always in Jesus name. We decree, that the grace of God in our lives breaks off every mountain to pieces in Jesus name amen.
