INTRODUCTION: By way of introduction, the objective of this devotional is to draw our attention to how a blessing can sometimes turn into a curse. Let's get more insights.

One of the Revered men of God of our time, is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Pastor Enoch 84 years , . Once, he shared a story about himself. He says he is someone who loves singing and praising God, and when he goes deeper, he often feels overwhelmed in the spirit and starts weeping, when the Holy Spirit descends around him. He said, he did a lot of that as an upcoming young pastor, but he knew, and also, while driving, he would often sing worship songs, or slot in a cassette player singing worship songs in those days.

Fast forward many years later, he said he often struggles to do those things, .So, one day, he was in his car, and then one of those old worship songs came to his mind, he was singing it, and he felt like weeping like the old time. Then he stopped, because he felt his driver would start wondering why he was crying. And immediately, the Holy Spirit rebuked him, and he stopped the worship. And he told the spirit of God in his mind, and said, Holy Spirit, if I start weeping now, what do you want my driver to think of me?

According to him, the Spirit of God replied, So it's now my fault for blessing and promoting you “. When the voice replied to him, he felt so bad and remembered his humble beginnings when his parents were too poor to buy him footwear as a child. He wept and asked for forgiveness from God according to him

CAN BLESSING TURN TO A CURSE: Proverbs 10:22 Explained.

Yes, blessing can sometimes turn to a curse, but only with ones permission can blessing turns to a curse, because it's our heritage to have the blessings from Abraham, and this we inherited through Christ, who is the heir of the promise, and we are co- heirs, and the Scripture made it clear in Galatians 3:13. That Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.

The only reason why God blesses his people is to fulfill his promise and to advance his kingdom on earth. If the blessings he brought to your way are taking you or have taken away his purpose, then it's no longer a blessing, it's a curse. For instance, if you have been praying, for career growth, a job, children, a relationship, or marital settlement. And those things have taken you away from God, then it's no longer a blessing, it's a curse.

Beloved, think about it, God is a jealous God, he would not give to you what will replace his position in your life, except that it is his plan to achieve a set goal in your life for a particular time

CAN GOD WITHDRAW HIS BLESSINGS IN OUR LIVES,?.

Good question, God can stop the blessings if he sees that such blessings may lead you to hell, he doesn't want anyone to go to hell. The price Jesus paid to save a soul can not be measured in Gold, nor silver, but even in other perishable things.

ARE THE BLESSINGS ONLY IN MATERIAL THINGS?

First, it's important to note that the blessings of God are not only material. As a lot of people focus on material blessings, you may be rich or wealthy in the physical, yet wretched or miserable in the spirit.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CARRYING THE BLESSINGS OF GOD?

~ HIS PRESENCE; When you carry the presence of God. You are already blessed, you may not be rich in the physical sense, but where evil prevails, you will escape. You won't just die like a chicken.

~ HIS VOICE IS AUDIBLE: David said, God spoke once, twice he heard. His voice will be audible to you, you won't miss his voice.

~. CARRYING HIS PRESENCE :is equal to carrying his light. Because he lives in you, you move in him and exist in him. Are you a Carrier of his light? Acts:28

~.REPOSITIONING: You cannot be a Carrier of his blessing and be in a. Corner, he will reposition you, you become the centre of attraction, whether in career, relationship, family etc.

~ ENLARGES YOUR COAST: Being a blessed man includes being bigger than one's contemporary in all measures. Increase in every area of one's life, increase in everything good.

OPEN HEAVEN: Cursed closed heaven, while blessing opens it. Profitless work, Disfavour, untimely death, and other losses, are all manifestations of curses.

CONCLUSION: One of the greatest graces one can wish for on earth is the blessing of God. It's the opposite of a curse, it's the antidote for a curse. One may not appreciate blessings until one has misfortune ( God forbid).

PRAYERS: Thank you Father for your words to me today. Thank you for the blessing I have through Jesus Christ. I asked , Lord, that your blessings in my life do not turn to a curse in Jesus name amen.
