Topic: WISDOM FOR DIRECTIONS

Anchor Scripture: King James Version. Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting gets understanding.

Mark Muradizira, a deeply Religious youth leader of the Risen Saints church in Bindura, central Zimbabwe, needed €150,000 to buy a luxurious car for his baby. He somehow became convinced that he could get answers to his prayers from God after fasting for forty days and forty nights only on water. But passed out after 33 days.

The Church leader, Bishop Mavuru, says he should have asked God to give him a job instead of money for a luxurious car. ( Lamborghini).

What's Wisdom? Wisdom is a gift of God. James 1:5 says, If you lack it, ask him in prayers, he gives to all freely. ( Paraphrase). Understanding is having insights into a perspective or a situation and knowing how to follow the steps or methods to use.

The Bible also talks about different kinds of wisdom. Godly wisdom is different from worldly wisdom.

This is what today’s teaching is telling us: it's not enough to acquire wisdom, but knowing its application is very important in our everyday lives. King Solomon not only acquired wisdom from God, he had an understanding of how to apply it to solve problems. To be problem solvers, in our world we need knowledge.

LESSON: What do we learn today, Not all good ideas are Godly ideas. An idea may be good but may not be what God approves for us.

HOW TO APPLY WISDOM PLUS UNDERSTANDING.

Pray until you have peace in whatever you are praying about.

Prayer for understanding when you have a revelation.

Read the scriptures that pertain to the challenge at hand.

Wait for answers patiently through a revelation of his words or through other ways God chooses.

Have Faith that he answers those who diligently seek him.

REFLECTION: Let's Examine ourselves on how to get wisdom from God. Do we just make our own decisions without consulting him?

PRAYERS: Heavenly Father, Today we come to you for wisdom and ask that you grant us understanding in everything concerning your Will in our lives in Jesus name amen.
