The Treasurer

Anchor Scripture:“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.”2nd Corinthians 4:7.

A few months ago, President Mokgweets Masisi of Botswana showcased a remarkable discovery to the world: a 2,492-carat diamond found in his country. This diamond is the second largest ever discovered and is valued at a staggering $40 million. In addition to his role as president, he can also be refers to as chief treasurer of the diamond.

As believers, we too are treasures of God. We are called to be the light bearers, showcasing the light of God in our lives so that the hidden works of darkness do not find expression in us.

The love of Christ is manifested in our character through virtues such as compassion, kindness, gentleness, forgiveness, and love for others.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are to be used for the body of Christ and not for our own vain glory. Our bodies are the earthen vessels that contain these treasures, and we are called to take great care of them.

Treasures are normally hidden valuables that are discovered, and nobody sees them and keep it himself except to show it to the world .

Our Assignments: Let's not forget that we are God treasurers anywhere we found ourselves so we have the mandates to visibly show to the world we are good keepers.

Prayers: O God, please give us the grace to be good treasures in Jesus name amen.
