Topic: HIS WAYS PAST FINDING

Anchor Scripture: Romans 11:33 KJV - “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out.”

One of the most compelling stories in the Bible illustrates how God uses seemingly minor details to achieve extraordinary outcomes, found in Judges 3:12-29. The Israelites cried out to God for help against King Eglon, who ruled over them in oppression. After enduring this burden, they sought God's deliverance.

God answered their plea by sending a left-handed rescuer named Ehud. On the day the tribute was due, Ehud crafted a double-edged dagger, Strapped it under his right thigh by concealing it under his clothing. Leading the delegation to the king, he delivered the tribute and then informed Eglon of a message from God. When Eglon dismissed his guards, Ehud seized the moment. He swiftly drove the dagger into the king’s belly, securing a surprise victory for Israel.

THE STORY OF EHUD

OUR LESSON TODAY: God is a master organizer in the lives of His children. Why did He choose a left-handed man for this task?

Consider this: If a right-handed man were sent, Eglon would have likely sensed danger, focusing on the right side. But Ehud, being left-handed, attacked from an unexpected angle, catching the king off guard. This story reminds us that God is in control of human affairs. When He decides to deliver His people, He often employs unconventional methods. So we ask again, why a left-handed person?

REFLECTION: In our own lives, no matter the obstacles we face, God remains sovereign. Let us hold onto hope, for He may send help from the most unexpected sources. Assistance is promised to those who earnestly seek Him and belong to Him.

PRAYERS: Thank you, Heavenly Father, for Your sovereignty in my life. Please forgive my sins today and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. 🙏 Amen.
